As Stars That Shine continues to take on period poverty through the Girls United PERIOD project, we are hosting Free feminine hygiene product giveaways in Jefferson County and Berkeley County, West Virginia! We hosted our first feminine hygiene products giveaway and we are so happy we were able to have a successful day of giving back and personally hearing stories of girls, women and families in our community. Through the Girls United PERIOD project, Stars That Shine will continue to provide free menstrual hygiene essentials to girls and women in our communities. Thank you to the amazing volunteers, ambassadors and board members who continue to dedicate their time and service to make a change in out community!
As the school year begins, we want to make sure students in need who are returning to school or even distance learning have access to menstrual hygiene essentials. We will be hosting another feminine hygiene essentials giveaway on September 18th at The Berkeley County Town Square in Martinsburg, WV from 6pm-7:30pm. We hope to see you there!
