PRESS RELEASE: Empowering Girls: 2024 Girl Empowerment Conference to Focus on Cyber Safety and STEM Exploration

Martinsburg, WV - May 9, 2024 - The annual Girl Empowerment Conference returns on June 1, 2024, at Blue Ridge Community and Technical College in Martinsburg, WV, for a full-day extravaganza dedicated to empowering middle and high school girls. Themed "Girl Code," this year's conference aims to equip young women with essential skills in cyber safety while encouraging exploration in coding and STEM fields.



The conference, running from 9 am to 3 pm, promises a dynamic lineup of workshops, guest speakers, peer panels, and interactive activities. Attendees can expect engaging sessions on online safety, confidence-building, and self-care, alongside inspiring talks from accomplished women in various fields.

Workshops will cover topics such as social media safety, phone security, cyberbullying prevention, and introductory coding sessions. Additionally, interactive activities throughout the day include cooking demos, self-care tutorials, STEM experiments, and self-esteem building exercises.



"Our goal is to inspire and uplift the next generation of female leaders," added Alisha Puller "By providing a space for girls to share experiences, learn new skills, and support one another, we aim to foster a community that champions their ambitions and aspirations."



The conference welcomes girls from West Virginia and surrounding areas to participate in this empowering event. Attendees are encouraged to secure their spot early to ensure participation in this transformative day. The first 75 girls to register will receive a scholarship to attend the conference at no cost.
